The VA only looks at your military disabilities when you apply for VA benefits, while the SSA looks at all your medical issues when you apply for SSD benefits. You can combine your military disability with other health issues that did are not connected to military service, such as a heart condition, hypertension, asthma, or diabetes to be approved for benefits.
Some may not realize that health issues not connected to military service can be compensable in terms of government support. However, millions in this country depend on these benefits to survive.
